Where or Where Have I Been??
Well back in the hospital again. Yes, that would make my 3rd admission in the course of 14 weeks of pregnancy. I think I am trying to set a new record of some kind. But seriously I am excited!! I am doing a rarely used treatment (kind of a last ditch effort) for HG....and it seems to be working. In fact, I wasn't suppose to be released until Tuesday but I am going home today. So it's turning out to be a good Easter for our family...I hope you are having a wonderful Easter too.

On a personal note...
Well my husband and I took a wonderful 5 day trip to San Antonio, TX. We went with 5 other couples and it was a blast. I was really worried about going with my hyperemesis but I did pretty good. I even kept breakfast down everyday but one! Yeah.
Unfortunately, this past Wednesday I ended up in the ER. I went for a ear infection and some spotting I was concerned about, only to end up being admitted and having my appendix removed!!!! The surgery and recover has been pretty rough since it's been complicated by my hyperemesis, but all in all I consider myself lucky that the appendicitis was caught so early and removed before infection could set in. The funny thing is I would have never went to the ER for the abdominal pain, it wasn't that severe and I figured it was just from the GI issues created by the hyperemesis. So strangely in this case the spotting was a blessing in disguise.

New supplies!
Who knew I'd be working with a whole new type of supplies! That is what it takes to deliver just 1 dose of each of my current medication/iv therapy. Lots of fun, huh? I kept telling my husband that maybe this baby is getting it out of his/her system, giving us lots of grief now but will be the perfect child latter on. Wishful thinking I know, lol. Well I am 9 weeks and 3 days, only 30 weeks and 4 days to go!

A Little Update
I just wanted to let my readers know that I may fall behind on my blog postings. I have some good and bad news. The good news is that in a little less than 8 months we are expecting a new arrival to our family...that's right I'm pregnant. The bad news is I am very sick...I have hyperemesis gravidarum. I finally got to come home after a two day stay at the hospital but I still have to give myself IV fluids and IV medications at home. I'm sure you can imagine how this has cramped my lifestyle, lol. So hang in there with me and I will try to post sketches as often as I can!
