A Little Update

I just wanted to let my readers know that I may fall behind on my blog postings. I have some good and bad news. The good news is that in a little less than 8 months we are expecting a new arrival to our family...that's right I'm pregnant. The bad news is I am very sick...I have hyperemesis gravidarum. I finally got to come home after a two day stay at the hospital but I still have to give myself IV fluids and IV medications at home. I'm sure you can imagine how this has cramped my lifestyle, lol. So hang in there with me and I will try to post sketches as often as I can!

Sketch #90

This sketch was actually created after I made the layout...which all began with that piece of pattern paper.

The Winner is Eryn!

So I used the randmom number generator today to pick the winner and it was the lucky #6 who just happens to be Eryn from Holy Scrap! Congrats Eryn! Just send me an email with you address and I'll get your prize out ASAP!

Thanks to everyone that took time to leave a comment. I plan on trying to implement some of your suggestions.

The Prize!

I posted the contest, but I'm sure everyone wants to know what the prize is. So I put together a sweet and dreamy little package featuring MME products. It includes 6 pieces of double-sided patterned paper, 2 frames, 2 transparencies, 3 title blocks, 2 journaling blocks, a bunch of die cuts, ribbon, and brads! For your chance to win post a comment here.

Happy Birthday Peyton!

You really have come a long way baby boy. From a fast and furious deliver, to a quick transfer to a top pediatric hospital, followed by a week long of intense praying and bedside vigils. Daddy likes to say you were displaying you ability to stress us out from the very beginning. We finally got to bring you home on Valentine's Day, the sweetest gift of all. Before we start our day today I just wanted to take time to thank God, medical technology, the hospital staff, family and our friends for helping us journey through those long 8 days. Peyton I thank you too for being strong, being a survivor, and most of all for being you! We love baby boy!

Happy Birthday Sketch It Out!

So today is the one year anniversary of Sketch it Out!

Can you believe it? I cannot! A year really? And tomorrow is my son's 3rd Birthday too! Where or where dose the time go?

In order to celebrate I'm going to give away some blog candy! I'd love to hear from my readers. What do like about my blog and what would you like to see in the future?

Post your comment here by Feb 12th for a chance to when.

A Sweet Layout

My sister recently gave me these photos of my niece and my youngest son. I thought sketch #52 was perfect for these photos. Once again you'll see I've used my Cutter Bee, plus I have dug out my stamps! One of my resolutions for this year is to put all those stamps I collect to good use. Thanks Brandi for forcing me to learn how to use a blendign pen!

Sketch #89

I have taken a new interest in my cutter bee piercing tool...you are sure to see my stimulated stitching on tons of recent layouts! To get straight lines I take out the blade on my fiskars 12x12 trimmer and use the line for a piercing guide. For perfect circles I trace around my circle cutting templates.

Please Say A Prayer!

Please pray for my husband's grandfather. He just had a stroke and is on his way to the hospital now.

Thank you so much.
